Kylie Polkinghorne
Family Engagement Minister
Kylie grew up in Gundagai and after leaving school, moved to Tasmania and studied a Diploma in Youth & Community Work [Christian] with a para-church organisation called Fusion. This stretched her faith and developed her love for community work and reaching everyday folk with the love and compassion of Jesus. Here she was equipped with a variety of public speaking, leading and organisational skills. Kylie and her husband, Jeremy, met during this time of training and after getting married have both been youth workers and involved in a variety of different church work and chaplaincy for the past 13 years around Victoria, Tasmania and NSW. Since joining the church in 2018, Kylie has found herself involved in playgroup ministry, SWAC-care, and has completed an MTS Apprenticeship. She is currently undertaking her Bachelor of Theology through Ridley College (Melbourne) and enjoys being a part of the ministry team, leading mainly music, coordinating Messy Church, and helping SWAC to engage with community and charity outreach. Kylie is passionate about seeing that all people know that they are loved by God.
